Claire has been taking ballet for about four months. Her teacher, Ms. Farry, owns The Dance Pointe in Tulsa and is the head of the South Tulsa Children’s Ballet, a non-profit organization that puts together two major productions every year – The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty. Claire was cast as an angel in this year’s production of The Nutcracker.
Claire had her own fan club in the audience – Mommy, Daddy, MiMi, PopPop, Uncle Duie and Aunt Jodi.
We had the best seats in the house on the third row.
The whole ballet was very entertaining and enjoyable. (low light = blurry pictures)
The video is very poor quality due to the stage lights, but it’s still funny. Most of the little girls who knew their routine very well going into the performance just stood there and watched liked spectators. Claire was no exception. You can hear us talking and laughing throughout the video.Claire appeared to be a bit awestruck by the big angels’ costumes. She didn’t do most of her routine. At one point she was supposed to turn, and she got this huge grin on her face and just started twirling. She had a blast! She was just too cute!
At the end of the production, each group of dancers returned to the stage to take a bow. The Angels
Again, this video is very poor quality. Claire saw us and yelled out, “Hi Mama! Hi PopPop! Daddy! MiMi! Uncle Duie! Look! There’s my family!” She was so excited to see us! How adorable!!
After the ballet, Claire’s daddy gave her roses.
